FLEXIM answers Indonesia's growing interest in new technologiesIndonesia is the world's largest archipelagic state, a major hydrocarbon producer, with world-scale exploration, production, processing and refining facilities. It is a big market for oil-gas sector goods and services. Gas is the principal hydrocarbon, much of it produced offshore. A national pipeline grid is being developed and plans for international trunk lines are under discussion. The international exhibition Oil & Gas Technology Indonesia 2007 (OGTI) which took place in early November in Jakarta showed that Indonesia has a growing interest in new oil & gas facilities technologies. In the last 12 years OGTI has established itself as the premier networking forum for the technology, services providers and equipment suppliers to the Oil, Natural Gas and Energy producers. FLEXIM Instruments Asia displayed its offshore application, the all-stainless-steel ultrasonic flow meter FLUXUS® ADM 8127. For many visitors this seawater-proof and ATEX homologated instrument for the use in explosive atmosphere zone 1 and 2 was of great interest. FLEXIM Instruments Asia was represented at the exhibition by our new Indonesian partner PT. Lasindo Jayabersama. Lasindo Jayabersama will market and distribute FLEXIM's complete range of non-intrusive flow measurement and inline process analysis product lines such as the portable clamp-on flow meter FLUXUS ADM and the Waveinjector®, the solution to extreme temperatures.
